On August 20th a client brought to us a stray cat that was quite obviously soon to give birth to a litter.  He was very right, since the next morning the staff came in to a pile of 4 kittens suckling on a tired, skinny mom.  At 4 o’clock that afternoon she pushed out 1 more.
Mom is pretty shy, but she’s very good with her kitties.  The babies will be available for adoption after they’ve been weaned, usually at about 6 weeks or so.  We’ll be spaying mom at that time and will want to find her a home as well.
Currently the family is living at Sandy’s house and will be brought in to the clinic for viewings as soon as everyone is strong and confident.

Casey

Casey was dropped off in a kennel between our 2 front doors in early May.  She is about 4 years old and spayed.  She was covered in matts that were hardened right down to her skin on arrival, so we gave her a lionshave.  As funky as her new haircut is, her fur is growing back beautifully, and with daily brushing she’ll maintain a full body of hair.

Casey is a shy young lady at first, but sucks up any attention people are willing to give her.  She loves head butts and neck scratches most.

Casey comes to her name well and wants nothing more than square meals and round hugs.  She doesn’t love being picked up for a cuddle (though will tolerate it for short periods) but does like to share a chair or use a lap.

Casey had an older brother dropped off with her, but he was far along with cancer and we sadly had to say goodbye to him when it became too much.  She and Jeeves tolerate each other, but have yet to become warm bosom buddies, preferring to each have their separate sleeping spaces.

elsie

sad

Elsie and Sadie were surrendered to our clinic because a member of their household developed allergies.  These little girls are 7 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and de-wormed.

Sadie is the shier of the two.  She had an abdominal hernia that we repaired and performed a dental.  Elsie has yet to have her dental, but she will be done as soon as we can.

Both girls are very friendly and love to get attention.  They have lived together their entire lives and would be happiest in a home together (especially our shy little Sadie), but most important is that they get into good, loving homes even if that means separating them.
